Plain but Trendy – The Free Modern Resume Template

free simple resume template

Accountants, bankers, MBAs, salespeople and other professionals face an interesting challenge. They have to balance resume expectations with a need to create a document that stands out.

A resume that looks as if it was designed for an art student is out of the question. A resume that’s too “crusty corporate” and unattractive is no help either.

Your best bet is to go with a resume that meets the conservative standards of many potential employers while being visually attractive at the same time. It’s like pairing a Brooks Brothers’ suit with a colorful dress shirt, and brightly designed tie. You’ll stand out among your peers.

  1. I LOVE THIS RESUME… however, I am a little agitated because the separation lines that you included could not be moved or colored over on Word document. I needed the extra space for my work experience and that really is blatantly in the way and disrupts the flow of the resume.

    1. Hi Megan, thank you for your message.

The separation lines can definitely be moved and colored. To do so, you have to select them.
This might seem a bit tricky since they are very thin but this is doable, maybe after a few tries 🙂

You can reach out directly via the contact form if you have questions. Thanks

    1. Hi Patrick, it’s definitely free.
All you have to do is to click on the download button and the download process begins, in other words, 1-click to download ; )

    1. Hi Samar, it definitely works with MS Word but you will first need to extract the template and its documentation from the zip file.
